This four day workshop is designed to provide R&D managers with the knowledge and skills required to manage and retain highly trained professionals in the challenging environment of an R&D laboratory. This workshop draws heavily on the vast literature on the management of technological innovation and R&D management.

To facilitate participation on this training program, this four day workshop is being presented in two parts.

Workshop Director: Thomas E. Clarke, M.Sc., M.B.A.

Mr. Clarke has designed and presented R&D management workshops to scientific personnel in government and industrial laboratories for twenty-six years, and has been a consultant to all of the Canadian government's science-based departments on R&D management, intellectual property management, and science programs and policy.

Participants will receive a 120+ page workshop manual.
